Been thinking hard about what I should major in and I decided on:

International Business

&

Management

Previously I chose International Business and Marketing but I find no interest in studying marketing subjects anymore. Maybe later on when I do my Masters I will consider Marketing. In the meantime, Im still waiting for the next semester to start.
Another two years and Ill be done. Monash University students tend to crack theirs head just a little bit harder every semester. I guess thats whats getting me fueling for more.
Learning is a lifelong process.

The phrase "Ancora Imparo" means "I am still learning". Who's gonna stop me? Haha, although I really cant deny the fact that studying is not always fun. Like an iceberg, what is visible is only what can be seen on the surface and every thing else that lies beneath is yet to be discovered. This is my journey...

Just one word to describe the studying experiences in the past year: "unbelievable". From assignments that wore me out to the boring lectures in the freezing hall. Everything was not as had been expected for the year. Neither too good nor too bad though. Well, another two years ahead. Lets hope its all good. Fellow students, strive for more, you can reach it if you try! Year Two here I come!! ^_^

Happy One Year Anniversary Baby!!

A few days ago, my brother and his girlfriend celebrated their one year anniversary and his girlfriend bought him this box of cupcakes. 7x7, a total of 49 mini cupcakes with the words "happy 1st anniversary" and around it filled with colourful words written "hugs, love and kisses". The picture:

As for today, I am going to try to make a panda face cupcake for my baby since it is our one year anniversary and I want to make it extra special. Since weve been together and may a little before when we first met, he would call me bAbypAndA and I call him my deArpAndA. So, I think it would mean more that way. I have been online searching for good recipes but I think Im going to have to come up with something myself since the ones they have online get very complicated. I dont even know what some of the ingredients are. Haha. Lets see what choices there are:

The panda face cubcakes.

Okay, so the recipe for the panda face on the tree is as below.

"PANDA FACE" CUBCAKES
Ingredients
Chocolate nonpareils for ears
Chocolate disc-shaped candies (such as Junior Mints) for circles around eyes
Small round chocolate candies (e.g., chocolate-covered peanuts) for noses
White chocolate chips and black decorating gel or black food coloring for eyes, or sugar eyes (found at cake and candy decorating stores)

Method
1. Frost the cupcakes.
2. Place two chocolate disk candies on the top of the cupcake for ears. Place two more in the center for the dark circles around pandas' eyes. Place sugar "eyes" on these chocolate disks using a little frosting as glue. If you are using white chocolate chips, cut off the points and stick them onto the disks with a little frosting. Draw pupils on with a toothpick and a little black food coloring, or use a dot of black gel frosting. Stick a small round chocolate candy in the middle of the panda's face for the nose.

VANILLA BUTTER CREAM FROSTING (makes frosting for 14 to 18 cupcakes)

Ingredients
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
4 cups powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 cup whole milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Method
1. In a large bowl, cream the butter until smooth.
2. Add the powdered sugar, salt, milk, and vanilla and mix until smooth and creamy.

After prepping the cupcakes and frosting, you'll be ready to assemble the following three types of "cubcakes": Panda Face, Koala Face, and Brown Bear Face. Read through to the end of this article to be sure you have assembled all the candies you need to make the different faces, and also to consider the Chocolate Butter Cream Frosting option for the Brown Bear Face.

Exams are FINALLY over.

Can hardly remember what the paper was all about. The questions were out of my expectations but at least I tackled the last paper already and am on my way to enjoy a good three weeks of holidays!! Yeay. Sounds so good. Tomorrow is a special special day. My boyfriend and I, celebrating our one year anniversary! I love you baby! ^_^. Time sure does fly by so fast. Well, cant wait to see my friends soon.

Annoyed

I am already annoyed by the way this blogspot is reacting towads the pictures I have uploaded.
I had to edit HTML to get my photo URL and after countless times pasting the URL and saving it, the picture still does not want to appear. I dont wish to shift again but it seems like I am left with no choice. Arrghhh. Whatever it is, its 8am and I just wanna sleep.

An Accomplishment

I have stayed awake the whole night trying to study for my last paper: ECW1102.It was a long night in my brothers room as I watched them play dotA and studied on his bed throughout the night. And I only covered two chapters. *Sighs* You call that an accomplishment?!! Tahaa...

Well, today will be a better day. Im still bogged down by the stupid cake incident. Exams come first so well, STUDY!!

Of Cheese and cakes

Earlier today I went to Tesco (Yes, the supermarket) to buy some groceries. I wanted to make a cheesecake for my boyfriend for our one year anniversary which is this coming Tuesday (26th June 2007). So soon and it's already been a year!^_^. Well, I went with Nick and my mom. I realised that the blender my mom bought in NZ had spoilt so we had to get a new one. Excitedly, my brother, Nick who also wanted to make a cake for his girlfriend searched for the electrical appliances department.

Being a huge supermarket (Or is it a hypermarket? Ah, whichever), it wasn't the easiest thing to do for the fact that both my brother and I hardly ever do groceries. It was 9pm when we left the house and we reached within the next 15minutes. Mom went to park the car and we rushed inside to make sure we would find the things in time. We had earlier on decided to buy a brand new blender to make the cake for tomorrow and on Monday night. So we found this Panasonic blender that seemed "stable" enough to do the job. Haha.

We ran around the place looking for the rest of the ingredients. Firstly, the cheese of course. We grabbed two boxes first and then went on finding the butter. Shortly after we decided to make the base with "Oreos". So we proceeded to the biscuits section grabbed two tubes of Oreos and headed to the canned department. Grabbed the tin of pineapples (It was meant to be Pineapple Oreo Cheesecake), we looked at the chocolate chips and other items to decorate the cake. Not sure of which one to get, we randomly took what we thought would look AND taste nice.

Finally, the main and most important ingredient: "Gelatin". It's a form of powder that is mixed with the cheese to harden the cheese after it is blended. Well, it's not the typical baked cheesecake that you buy at the supermarket. It was supposed to be our very own made Pineapple Oreo FROZEN Cheesecake. Much like the frozen cheesecakes they sell in Secret Recipie, only ours was made with LOVE. *Smiles* Skip all that, we searched high and low for the gelatin and not a box or packaging looked anything like it.

Much later into the night and Tesco was about to close. Disappointed but unwilling to give up we went downstairs to look for a cake shop. Yes, at 10pm at night. Wth were we thinking? No gelatin in sight. We even asked the worker in Tesco (The guy who baked the breads) if he knew where to get gelatin and he shrugged. Our trolley was later packed with other things my mom had picked up along the way including the brand new blender that we intended to buy just to make the cheesecake and all the other ingredients.

Eventually we gave up hope and just dumped the blender and the ingredients back on the nearby shelves. It was either we made the cake good or else we just wouldn't make it at all. I called my boyfriend and told him I was kinda upset about not being able to buy something but then I couldn't really tell him what it was because I think he would laugh at how silly we were not to check if they sold gelatin or not in the first place.

Mom seemed a happy woman after her infamous grocery spree but we were tired and disappoint. Well, maybe another time. And this time I know what to loof for first. *Sighs* My last exam paper is on Monday so I'm going to go study now at 3am in the morning. Haha.

It IS the last paper and I should be glad.

Circle of Friends

When we die, we wont remember what car we drove, the house we lived in or the clothes we wore but what we will remember is the people in our lives, the friends we made and the relationships we maintained. We are here for the people, as the people. Every inch of our lives builds upon a circle. This circle shelters and holds the bonds we share together.
This circle is called the circle of friends.

I am suddenly inspired by the people around me. The way each of them reacts to changes and try to adapt in this circle. Having each a circle, there are cliques but when these cliques are broken, these people still live in perfect harmony.

When you are in need you ask, "Where are my so-called friends that are not even here when I need them most?".
When you have noone to talk to you think: Maybe today I will call so and so just for a chat but you only do so out of boredom.
When your birthday comes you think to yourself, "Who will celebrate this day with me?".

Then you look back at the past few years and how you've slowly neglected and abandoned these people you call friends. You think of how you let them go one by one in exchange for the affection of a guy you once loved or still love. But then everytime you are disappointed and each time you just lose another friend.

That is the thought of the gurl in writing now.

For the one I love, I gave up the ones I love.

Im sorry to those whom Ive let down and to the friends I never was around for. I will make it up to all of you. This is my promise.

Peaceful Moments

Yeah people, once again, I have shifted. I have shifted from my previous blogspot due to some "unforseen circumstances" and have abandoned it for almost two years in which I have moved to my xanga blog (private blog so please ask me for blog address) and I occassionally update my Friendster blog or my 2nd Account Friendster blog when I feel like it.
